too many ottomans

Blood Waterfall hasn’t recorded anything in a long time, but my stuff’s been in my room lately and it’s been sunny and I found this tape recorder, so here’s a fun sunny summer song I made with just two microphones, a fuzz pedal, and this pedal. Oh yeah, the other reason is that I fixed a bunch of my broken stuff, the RNG is still very wonky - you can change the sound by applying pressure to the top of the case???? - but it might be good wonky.

ok it’s not a song it’s just me swinging mics around, but I like the way it sounds

I meant to post this closer to when it happened, but I drove to see my family in Michigan a week ago and took some cool pictures and acquired at least one annecdote

oh and I guess by family I meant WARMER MILKS

I bought this tape from them, POT 5, it has duct tape on it and when I tried to put it in my walkman the walkman’s lid just fell off, the cassette cut through it like butter

that’s about the coolest thing a tape can do, I think, and now I have to use my walkman with the lid broken off

now here’s some mics pisc of thrift stores and bathrooms

I bought these for like four bucks total: a broken transcribing machine and this crazy toy thing, hopefully I can make them do something that’s worth at least four dollars

ANNECDOTE ALERT - I was at my dad’s house and this high school girl came to the door selling candy or something for her sports team, and when I answered the doorbell she just looked at me for a second and asked if there was a grown up home, and I was like NO and she left.

that’s all for now I guess

PCR3 is going through production issues but it’s going to be the best yet, here’s one new comic that will hopefully add context to the second part

ok so I have gotten way behind on everything, including my quote unquote blog

â—• the Blood Waterfall show went well last weekend, not the hugest crowd ever but we sounded good I think. A bunch of people I know came which is more than awesome of them and more than a stupid blog post thank you would make up for so I won’t say that

I’m pretty proud of my current suitcase set-up, you just pop it open and you’re just about good to go, it’s so much more convenient:

all the power supplies and strips are tucked away in the top part

â—• right now I have fifteen pages of notebook drawings to scan!! At least a few of them are really good, things have been clicking so hard and in such a decisive manner lately, well we’ll just have to wait until probably tomorrow to see for sure…

Here’s the uncolored cover to PCR3, which is a little behind schedule but not disappointingly so. Stay the fuck tuned.
